About Us
Opened in the Fall of 2019, the Bardwell Aquatic Center is a 27,000 square foot facility featuring a 10-lane pool, 2 diving boards, 2 family changing rooms and seating for over 435 people in a mezzanine overlooking the swim lanes. Open for both lap and open swimming, the facility also offers rentals for parties, corporate events, and more! Private, semi-private and group swim lessons are available for any and all who wish to learn. Day passes are available for short term use as well as memberships for those looking to add a great habit to their lifestyle! BAC is open to everyone, whether you’re coming as a beginner or expert, there’s always a place at our pool for you. Come get your feet wet!

About
Dr. Susan Bardwell
Dr. Susan Bardwell was a beloved mother, wife, community servant, and pediatrician in the Plymouth area. Sadly, in 2012, we lost Susan to illness, all too soon, at the age of 48.
Throughout her life, she had an outsized impact on the people of Marshall County, giving her talents and energies to many noble causes. Chief among those were the interests of children and her passion for swimming.
Susan had seen the benefits of swimming first-hand through her boys' involvement in swimming programs, and she knew it to be one of the most important life skills that any child should learn.
When the indoor swimming pool at Plymouth High School closed, the area was left without a year-round community swimming facility. It was Susan's dying wish that Plymouth once more have an indoor aquatic center.
At about that time, a group of committed leaders went to work to make Dr. Bardwell's dream a reality to serve the needs of our community.
